Karen Wang Shannon, M.D.
Dr. Karen Shannon is a native of Gainesville, Florida. She is a graduate of Bucholz High School. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Florida. She then attended medical school at the American University of the Caribbean.
Upon completion of medical school she was accepted into the Residency program at the St. Louis University School of Medicine. She was elected Chief Resident in her final year of residency.
Before accepting a position with Gainesville Family Physicians she worked as a physician in Ocala. Dr. Wang joined GFP in October of 2001.
